If you are new to paper piecing, I would love to share some tips for a beginner, or as a refresher. This past year I did a series of patterns and helpful videos for the American Quilter magazine. Foxy Valentine from Made By Marney

My Foxy Valentine paper pieced block is featured in the January/February issue of QUILTMAKER magazine.

This Foxy block pattern is only available in the Quiltmaker magazine at this time.

I’ve included a pillow pattern in the magazine, too. I have my Foxy Valentine pillow on my sofa this month.

Cute Penguins…and a FREE PATTERN! from Made By Marney

It’s that time of year…put away the Christmas decorations and let’s decorate using items that will be cute until Easter. Penguins work for me!

These super sweet penguins wearing a cute collection of different hats make a fun wall hanging or table topper. The penguins are paper pieced, and the flowers are appliqued.

I call these “Belly Button Penguins”. I made mine into potholders, but they would make great mug rugs too!
